Health Benefits: Pressed Pansy edible flowers are part of the Viola family and contain anti-bacterial properties to improve skin, reduce blood pressure and ease cancer. Pansies are also a great source of vitamins, nutrients and antioxidant to strengthen the immune system. Similarly, the flowers were traditionally steeped into hot teas and used to treat dry coughs and sore throats.
Pressed pansies can be applied to buttercream cakes, cookies and shortbreads. As well as cheesecakes and savoury tarts.
Available all year round they have a shelf life of 6 months. They need to be stored at room temperature.
